How to format your post

The App’s post/page editor uses a HTML editor.

It adds a format bar to the top of your keyboard and you use the formatting buttons on this format bar to format your post.

When you highlight some text, and tap on a formatting button it wraps the text within the proper HTML tags.  The HTML tags control how your text is displayed when your post is published.

For example, if you tap on bold it wraps your text in the HTML tags that tell it to make  your text bold and will look like this:

If you don’t select any text, both the opening and end tag will be inserted and the cursor placed in the middle of the tags.  All you need to do is type your text with the tags to apply the formatting.

Don’t stress about the HTML code you see as you write your post.  You quickly learn what it means!

To use you just:

1.  Write your post.

2.  Highlight any text you want to format.

3.  Tap the appropriate formatting button in the format bar to apply.

Here’s an example of what the formatting looks like in the post/page editor.
