There isn’t a way to display posts in chronological order however you can makes some posts Sticky so the post will be “stuck” to the top of the blog’s front page.

Examples of where teachers might use a sticky post are for notifying students of important dates and provide assignment information. This option should only used for one or two posts on a blog.

It’s really simple to do — only takes 3 simple steps!

Once you have written your post just:

1.  Click on Edit in the Visibility area of the Publish module

2.  Check the option that says “Stick this post to the front page” and click OK

3.  Click Publish

Alternatively, you can use Quick Edit on your All Posts screen to make a published post sticky.

This is as simple as:

1. Go to Posts > All Posts
2. Hover your mouse over the title of a post you want to make into a sticky post and click Quick Edit
3. Select ‘Make this post sticky’ and click Update

One option is to password protect the post;  any user that has the password can view the protected post.

If you want to make the entire blog to be private, only visible to specific readers,  you need to do via Settings > Privacy.

Please note password is stored as an encrypted cookie in the web browser for 10 days once it has been entered the first time in a web browser.

How To Password Protect a Post

1.  Click on Edit in the Visibility area of the Publish module

2.  Select the Password Protected option, enter your password and click OK 

3.  Once post is written just click Publish.

4.  The post is now password protected.
